Mekaylah Bowen

Mekaylah Bowen from Riverside Speedway made a pit stop to MES Morrisville Elementary School and met with students kindergarten through 4th grade. Mekaylah told the crowd of about 200 students about where she’s from, how she got into racing, and the importance of safety and learning.

”We don’t get too many opportunities to visit schools during the race season, but it was nice to come into the community and see the kids having fun.” Mekaylah mentions. “These kids have a lot of energy.” Some light hearted moments was when we had some students ask some questions. Mekaylah was asked:

How fast do you go in the race car?

How many races have you won?

Who designs the race car?

Who’s your biggest rival?

Why the number 12?

Some really great questions got Mekaylah excited for her upcoming 1st race of the season at Riverside Speedway on May 15th. Mekaylah then signed some autographed photos and handed out some wristbands in memory of this special event for the students.

The assembly concluded with having a class sign the back of the race car and a drive away wave from the students as Mekaylah drives off in her 2021 Race Car of the season. #MekaylahBowenRacing12 #Racing12 #CommunityVisitToMES #MorrisvilleVermont #Racing #MorrivilleElementarySchool #Motorsports #WomanOfRacing #Speed51 #RiversideSpeedway #RaceCars #WomanDrivers
